3D Printed Electric Bass Guitar – Precision + Jazz Pickup Model + Bonus “Thunderbum” Humbucker Model
This isn’t just a remix of my original 3D Printed Precision Bass
It’s a full-on upgrade. More tone. More bite. More puzzle-piece attitude.
🎸 What’s New
Precision + Jazz Power – The classic P-bass thump meets the growl of a Jazz bridge pickup.
Got Power? - Cavity for 9V battery when using active pickups
Pickguard? Gone. – Electronics mount straight to the body, so the puzzle theme screams in full view.
Bonus Body: Thunderbum – Want earth-shaking lows? The included “Thunderbum” model swaps in two Musicman-style humbuckers for pure wall-rattling punch.

🖨️ Print Setup
Material: PLA, ABS or ASA. Avoid CF materials. Use PETG at your own risk. I have never used it for my guitars, it may be fine, it may not be.
Walls: 2.4mm (4× with 0.6mm / 6× with 0.4mm)
Top/Bottom: 2.4mm (12 layers @0.2mm / 8 layers @0.3mm)
Infill: 25% gyroid (strong + light)
Orientation: Print parts upside down for a slick textured finish
Pro Tip: One piece at a time > cramming the bed full. Stronger, cleaner builds every time.
